The traditional Spanish town
The city is very dynamic, and still very Spanish, unlike Barcelona, which is catalan and very international at the same time. You don’t feel there is an economic crisis when you visit Madrid at the beginning, people go for shopping to stores open until very late!
The historic center is very well conserved and it is good to take your time, get lost in the small madrilenas streets and do some shopping/tapas eating from time to time. Madrid, so Spanish!
