We are going to visit three islands. First step is Grand Canara, the more populated island, quite urbanized with good touristic infrastructures. Lanzarote, on the other hand is much quieter and very volcanic, with fantastic national park. Really a great pleasure to drive around it and stop at several local villages. Finally Fuerteventura is much bigger than Lanzarote but also less populated and has amazing long sandy beaches.

Las Palmas & Gran Canaria

We spent less time on Gran Canaria, but it is a good place to spend the first days in the Canary islands. You will find everything you are looking for and the nightlife is dynamic in the most populated island of the archipelago.

Lanzarote, the volcanic island

The main attraction of Lanzarote is the National Park of Timanfaya, a good testimony of the volcanic history of these island. You can feel you are in another world and happy to drive through the immensity, a feeling of freedom! This island cannot be missed according to us.

Wonderful remote beaches

Fuerteventura, beaches and strong wind!

Finally we terminate our trip in the Canary islands as we discover the island of Fuerteventura with very long beaches, shaken by the strong wind coming from the Atlantic ocean.

As a conclusion, Canary islands, with a very nice weather all year long, are a lovely place to relax, if you are single, in a couple of with children. Quite cheap if you are based in Europe, each island is very safe and very different to the other ones!
